Happy St. Patty's Day! (A little late)

Hi there! Long time no talk.

Bad blogger, I know.

But, I'm totally ready to blow you away with awesome stories of my St. Patty's Day!

I spent most of the evening looking like this:

Rockin' my moustache straw!

The moustache straws were one of the favors for the bridal shower the next day and we had extra, so I took one to the party to differentiate my cup from everyone elses.

Yes, I'm a smart cookie like that.

The moustache spent a lot of time being passed around. everyone wanted a picture with it!

It was unfortunately lost (but eventually returned!) sometime during the evening.

The fun hasn't started until the moustache shows up.

Aside from the moustache, I spent time with my besties:

Heather (my roomie!) and Sam(in the middle) are sisters and the three of us have been friends for 8 years.

I'm often referred to as the third daughter of their family because funnily enough, for 6 months of the year, we are all right in a row for ages.

Right now, Heather is 22, I'm 21, and Sam is 20. I fit right in!

My kinda party

Best weekend ever. 

No really, it was like the weekend gods were smiling down on me after my crap-tastic start to February.  

Matt came down for the weekend, I got a new phone, it was the Jason Aldean/ Luke Bryan concert, and I got to see some friends from home who came to visit. 

It doesn't get much better than that. 

Matt came down on Thursday night and Friday

  we went to pick up Heather from the train station and then went out to lunch accompanied by a little day drinking.  Hellooo Malibu/pineapple;) 

Jen (the old roomie and my pledge mama) was working the lunch shift so we went to see her and get our grub on! 

After lunch, Matt took a nap and Heather and I went to the store to get stuff to make for dinner. We happened to see a brand spankin' new AT&T store on our way and stopped by on a whim. 

Thank goodness they had a phone for me and I got a little bit of a discount:)  And no worries, I made sure to get the $9.99/mo protection plan this time! 

Ladies, this shizz is awesome! Siri is totally my new bestie. Not even sorry. 

Saturday 

Matt and I went out to brunch and then he left to go back home since he didn't have a concert ticket.  

Heather and I got ready and were out by about 3:30.  We literally had one of the best times hanging out with old friends and getting pumped for the concert.

Sunday

Heather and I were lazy this morning and watched a Say Yes to the Dress Marathon and got our post-hangover noms on.  Delicious bbq chicken may or may not have been made. And because both of us couldn't care less about this super bowl match up, we went to Olive Garden for dinner.

This weekend was the one for the books.

It's only Wednesday?! Yikes.

Ugh, seriously, I just want it to be the weekend! It's Christine's 22nd birthday today and I'm going to visit her at Purdue this weekend. (I've blogged about her here and here). I can.not.wait. to get there and see everyone again!
I'm sure this weekend will be just as fun as the last time I was there so I can't wait to come back here on Monday with some awesome stories;)


Now, I know I promised you guys I'd be back to play "blogger tag" today, but we had a lunch staff meeting and I just didn't get a chance:(

But speaking of work, look at at the adorable girls at my office did for me!

They set up a desk just for me!! And got me flowers! :) They had to rearrange their whole office and track down an extra desk, but they said that they wanted me to feel welcome and to have my own little space. They're so sweet! I can tell I'm really going to enjoy my semester here:)

Happy Birthday, Heather!

Today my bestie, Heather, turns 22.  We met one hot July day, the summer before our freshman year of high school.  We were both on the cheerleading team and met through a mutual friend when we had to run a mile outside in the 7327356 degree weather. We were running buddies and we haven't looked back since:)

In honor of her birthday, I'm feeling a little nostalgic (and thankful that it's not me turning another year older! Yet.) so I present to you, a timeline of my favorite times throughout our friendship.

 

She's my absolute best friend and I have no idea what I would do without her. She is always there for me and I can't tell you guys how many times she's been there to talk me out of a meltdown or crisis.  I'm so so so proud of her for all that she's accomplished and I can't wait to see what the next 8 years brings us.
