Fashion trends I never understood.....

Hello Ladies:)

I can't believe it's Wednesday already! This week is just flying by. Can't argue with that!
Hollerrr!

Well today I want to talk to you guys about the fashion trends I never understood.
I am in NO WAY a fashionista (although I'd like to think I do a pretty decent job of looking acceptable!), but there are some things I just do. not. get.

For example,

TOMS.
Someone please explain the appeal of these?
They're philanthropic you say?
I say donate to Make-A-Wish and call it a day.

 Questionable Fashion Trend #2
Maxi Skirts.

To me, they scream Little House on the Prairie.
But maybe it's just because I'm so short? (I ring in a a whopping 5 feet 2 inches. On a good day)
And I usually think of a skirt/dress as a cooler option in hot weather. But maxi skirts just look like they're trapping in the heat! Hellooo uncomfortable.

Let's mix this next one up a little bit with a double whammy.
Graphic Tees & Crop Tops

 I have no words.
I don't usually think this looks good on anyone who's not a model. And sometimes not even they look good!

And for a special boy edition of Questionable Fashion Trends,
Leaving the sticker on flat brim hats.

Isn't that the same as me walking around with a tag still on my jeans/shirt and leaving it there on purpose for everyone to see?
Why is that a good idea?

If any of you wear these trends, please feel free to try and convince me that they are awesome! But until then, I'll be shakin' my head whenever I see these runnin' around the streets.

People these days;)

Happy hump day, y'all!
Tell me some of your most hated fashion trends (in case I missed any) and I'll tell you if I'm guilty or not!

  1. I hated TOMS for THE LONGEST time...I thought they were so ugly. But I finally caved and bought a pair--not only is it a good cause (although I don't have proof they actually donated a pair to a person in need), but they're also super comfy! I now own two pairs. Biggest downside: they start smelling after a lot of wear...
I'm with ya on maxi skirts--but I'm also short so I think I look goofy in them.
Graphic tees are for teenie-boppers ONLY. And crop tops just look trashy (in my opinion, at least).
I've never understood the sticker thing...

  2. I have a pair of TOMS. I thought they were super ugly at first but decided to give them a try. I like them and they are pretty comfortable. I agree I hate and will never understand crop tops! I just don't understand how that is flattering.

  3. Haha. The sticker thing was explained to me recently, and you're not going to be happy about it. Guys leave the stickers on their hats so that they don't get dirty with finger prints. Those who leave the stickers on, only touch the hat where the sticker is. I think it's the silliest thing ever.
Also, I caved and bought a pair of Toms last spring, and they're really comfy, though I could live without them. Great post!

  4. I agree about Toms. I don't think they look very cute, although I know a lot of people buy them for the comfort factor. Although i was pleasantly surprised when i saw that they came out with ballet flats... those I could possibly go for. And as for maxi skirts, I also feel like there is a comfort factor. But I never know what kind of shirt or shoes you would wear... I would probably feel so hopeless I would walk around barefoot with a plain tank top or something. Not my style either.
