I went to go get my blood drawn for a doctors appointment I have later today and was totally fine until I went to stand up to leave. Ladies, I fainted.
It was somthing straight up out of the 1800's!
Imagine me swooning just as this lady was! (minus doing it for the attention of a man;)
It happened so slow motion and there wasn't anything I could do about it. It was the strangest feeling! Like I knew it was coming and tried to fight it off, but I just couldn't regain my balance. My body just wasn't doing what I was telling it to!
My poor nurse was a young girl and had to pull out the smelling salts and wave them under my nose 3 times before I gave any reaction. I finally came around and was fine, but it was just the craziest experience!
Hopefully it doesn't happen to me again because it was not fun. at all.
Has this ever happened to any of you guys?

Oh no! I hope you're feeling okay now! I HATE needles and cringe when they tell me they need to draw blood. Needless to say, I never donate blood. ha ha
ReplyDeleteI passed out once. Not from donating blood. I had a cut on my foot that ended up infected & by the time I realized & went to the doctor the infection was so bad I passed out in the office! Scary! AHope your feeling better!
